Thank you for visiting our CHaD fundraising page!
I am excited and humbled to be running the 118th Boston Marathon, and to be raising money for CHaD in the process. These are both very personal endeavors for me. I was reporting at the finish line of the 2013 marathon when tragedy struck. Watching runners and spectators pour into the medical tent and into ambulances is something I will never forget. I decided that day that I wanted to run this year, to take part in reclaiming sacred ground in running and sport, the Boston Marathon Finish Line.
CHaD is truly a NH treasure, and I am betting you already know that. The amazing things they do for our kids and families in NH are priceless, but it does take donations from us to sustain their heroic work. I hope you will consider a donation to CHaD as your way to feel connected to taking the Boston Marathon back, and to supporting our wonderful Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock.
April 21st draws near. I promise to run my heart out for all of the many victims of the bombings, and for the heroes of CHaD.
Thank you for your generosity.
