Parking and Directions

Event day parking will be at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center lot 20 in Lebanon, NH. Lot 20 is located between the outer loop of the hospital and Colburn Hill. Click for details.

There will be buses and volunteers available to accommodate and assist participants with small children and strollers.

If you need handicap access parking please contact us.


Road Closures and Delays

To keep participants safe and facilitate the flow of traffic around the event, please check out the road closures and delays in Hanover, NH and Norwich, VT. Click for details.


Registration, Bib and T-shirt Pick-up

October 21st: Pre-Race Bib, T-shirt Pick-Up & HERO Expo
Location: Alumni Hall in the Hopkins Center, Hanover, NH
Time: 10 AM - 1 PM

October 22nd: Race Day Bib & T-shirt Pick-Up
Location: Alumni Hall in the Hopkins Center, Hanover, NH
Time: 9 AM - 11:30 AM

On-site registration will be available.


CHaD HERO Race Expo

October 21st: During Pre-Race Bib & T-shirt Pick-Up
Location: Top of the HOP, Hopkins Center, Hanover, NH
Time: 10 AM - 1 PM

Fundraising Minimums

Fundraising minimums are due on October 22, 2017. Please see our fundraising minimums page for details.

If you still need to meet your fundraising minimum and prefer to pay the balance with a credit card, you may log on to www.chadhero.org anytime and make a donation to your fundraising page for the outstanding amount. This will save you time at bib-pickup, and ensure you receive the proper credit for the donation.

Planning on bringing donations with you to bib pick-up?

Help us get you on your way quickly by following these tips:

  • Make sure your name is on the memo line of any checks you turn in
  • If you are bringing cash, please include a note with your name on it so we make sure you get credit
  • Put all of your money in an envelope with your name on it

Food

Event participants are treated to delicious food including pasta, soup, fresh bread, yogurt, burritos, chips and salsa, cookies and much, much more. A special thank you to the generous companies who donate wonderful food for our HERO participants!

Spectators and the public may purchase food from a variety of vendors. Please note the food for spectators and participants will be in two separate and well-marked areas on Wheelock Street. YUM!!


Personal Items

Personal items may be dropped off at the bag drop tent just before the start of the race. Please plan to bring your own bag, labeled with your name. In case of rain, you may want to make sure your bag is waterproof.

If your personal items are left in a public area unattended, they may be removed for security reasons. CHaD is not responsible for these belongings.

Please note, while we do have wonderful, trustworthy volunteers who staff the bag drop tent, participants are responsible for their own belongings.


Timing and Results (Half Marathon and 5K Run ONLY)

Special thanks to Millennium Running our timing and race services partner. Millennium Running uses state-of-the-art MyLaps Timing equipment- to ‘chip’ time all of our runners. MyLaps Bibtag timing equipment is the worldwide industry leader used to time many of the largest races in the world, including the Boston Marathon.

Both you and your tag must cross both the start and finish mats to receive your 'net' time. If your start time is not recorded, you will only receive your 'gun time'. The official order of finish for the first 3 male and female finishers will be based on 'gun time'. For all but these 6 finishers, we will use 'net' time for official order of finish. The USAT&F does accept 'net' times for rankings for master runners (40 and over).

Results will be posted at the event and on the results section of the event website as soon as they are available.


Course Details, Water Stops and Restrooms

Water will be available at 2 mile intervals along the course. Energy gel packs will also be provided at mile 6, 8, 10 and 12. Powerade sports drink will be available at select water stops.

Weather

Please keep an eye on race day weather and be prepared for whatever mother-nature throws at us.


Race Photos

Photographers will be on the course taking photos of all participants throughout the day. Runner photos will be available for sale following the event. Check our photos page after the race!!
